Puzzle description
The photograph selected for this puzzle’s image was named in honor of its featured model, Tyrone Jones, aka TJ Swan. Taken in 1986 by Robert Henry Mizer (1922 – 1992), this image was first published in Volume 40 of Physique Pictorial—one of the leading beefcake magazines of the mid-20th century. The most notable difference in this particular Bob Mizer image, compared to those in his portfolio prior to 1964, is the legal freedom to photograph and publish fully nude models—no posing straps required. Previously, Mizer used posing straps, precursors to the G-string, as a way to photograph the models nearly nude while also avoiding charges of obscenity.
